Terms of Service

1. Service Description

SnoozeBanks is an alarm application that charges a monetary fee each time you tap the "Snooze" button. The fee starts at $1.00 for the first snooze and doubles with each subsequent snooze ($1, $2, $4, $8, $16, etc.) within a single alarm session.

2. Automatic Charges

By adding a payment method and using the app, you explicitly authorize SnoozeBanks to automatically charge your saved payment method each time you tap the Snooze button. These charges are processed immediately and do not require additional confirmation at the time of the charge. You understand that each snooze tap constitutes authorization for the corresponding charge.

3. Daily Spending Cap

You may set a daily spending cap between $5.00 and $50.00 (default $20.00). When your total charges for the day reach this cap, the alarm will be automatically dismissed without further charge. You can view and adjust your daily cap at any time in the app Settings.

4. Charge Schedule

The charge schedule per alarm session is as follows: 1st snooze = $1.00, 2nd snooze = $2.00, 3rd snooze = $4.00, 4th snooze = $8.00, 5th snooze = $16.00, and so on doubling until the daily cap is reached. The escalating cost schedule resets daily.

5. Refund Policy

You may request a refund for charges made within the past 24 hours from the History tab. One courtesy refund per calendar month is granted automatically. Additional refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis via our support email. Charges are generally non-refundable as they represent the core functionality of the service.

6. Dismissal Puzzles

To dismiss an alarm without incurring a snooze charge, you must complete a cognitive puzzle. Puzzle types are randomly assigned and include math problems, memory games, phone shaking, and phrase retyping. Puzzles are designed to confirm wakefulness and are calibrated to medium difficulty.

7. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years of age to use SnoozeBanks and to authorize payment charges through the app.

8. Payment Processing

All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. Your card details are stored securely by Stripe and never touch our servers. All charges will appear on your statement as "SnoozeBanks - Snooze #X".

9. Limitation of Liability

SnoozeBanks is provided as-is. We are not liable for any charges incurred through normal use of the snooze feature, as each charge is explicitly triggered by your action of tapping the Snooze button.
